Prato for kids; the school in a city. These “teaching” tours are designed around the young students, and wish to suggest a direct approach at history and art of the territory, looking at the witnesses given by the monuments, the artistic creations and the ecology of the territory itself. In particular, there is the possibility to study historical periods as the etruscan civilization, the Middle Age, the Renaissance, and it is easier to understand the economic transformations occoured during the XIX century, with the improvement and empowerment of the textile working process.

A half day is suggested for the school groups itineraries. We can include a tour lasting one hour and a half or three hours (it depends also from the specific interests and demands made by the teacher). There is the possibility to arrange a 1 day tour or more.

Through our itineraries it will be possible to have an alternative learning moment, different from the classical we have during lessons at school. Infact the direct observation is not only an important way to know, but also a moment of education to beauty. Studying the local history is fundamental to fix concepts and historical events that involved large territories.
